Our technology – improving efficiency and safety whilst reducing the risk of harm in critical care environments.
We are developing the PenMed ventilator, eliminating risk by providing continuity in ventilation along the patient pathway.

the patient pathway problem
one patient, one hospital – multiple ventilators
Multiple ventilation devices designed for specific environments, means patients are often disconnected and reconnected to new devices at various touch-points along the pathway.

Studies have highlighted the risks associated with the current array of multiple hospital ventilators.
“A patient was transferred from theatre, post operatively on
a portable ventilator. In the ICU they were connected onto
an ICU ventilator, but quickly desaturated and cardiac
arrest ensued. CPR was commenced and the ICU ventilator
was found still to be in ‘stand-by’.”

the penmed ventilator pathway one patient, one ventilator.
Our ventilator stays with the patient, both in trauma and surgical situations, throughout their pathway; reducing risk of disconnection and subsequent harm.
